# You have NFC tags. Here’s a use that sticks.

You bought a pack of NFC stickers (NTAG213 or NTAG215). On iPhone, the useful move is a bottle: stick one on a supplement lid, open LidTap, link it once, then tap the lid to log that you took it. No typing. Works from the lock screen. Not a business card, not a smart-home scene, not a medical reminder. LidTap is for people who already take a stack (creatine, omega-3, vitamin D) and keep forgetting which bottle they opened.

## Bottles, gym bag, supplement stack

Put the stickers on bottles you already pick up. That is the use that sticks — not a hotel key card, not a museum poster, not a Wi-Fi note you tap once and forget.

- **Kitchen stack.** Creatine, omega-3, vitamin D, magnesium. One tag per lid. Tap as you take it. You stop guessing which bottle you already opened.
- **Gym bag.** Pre-workout, protein, electrolytes, the creatine that lives in the duffel. Waterproof NTAG213 stickers, tap from the lock screen between sets.
- **The bottle in your hand.** A shaker, a bedtime magnesium, a bathroom serum you keep losing track of. Same idea: the object you already hold is the log.

NTAG213 packs are cheap because the internet sells them for business cards and shortcuts. Those work once. A supplement bottle is already in your hand every morning. The tag lives on the lid. The tap is the habit.

## Three steps

1. **Stick.** Put the sticker on the **lid**, not the body of the bottle. Any NTAG213 or NTAG215. [Amazon packs](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=NTAG213+NFC+stickers) are fine. No branded kit.
2. **Link.** Open LidTap, name the supplement (creatine, omega-3, vitamin D — whatever you actually take), hold the top of the iPhone to the lid. LidTap writes a Universal Link onto the tag. About ten seconds.
3. **Tap.** Next time you take it, tap the lid. The time is logged. Works from the lock screen. You do not unlock, type, or confirm a prompt unless you want to.

## What this is not

- **Not a hotel card or a tourist tag.** LidTap does not open a menu, a room key, or a guidebook. It opens the log on *your* iPhone.
- **Not a business card.** The tag does not open a website for other people.
- **Not a pregnancy tracker.** LidTap does not do cycles, prenatal schedules, or anything in that category.
- **Not a pillbox.** You do not pour pills into a new container. The bottle you already bought stays the bottle.
- **Not a smart-home scene.** It does not toggle lights or run Shortcuts as the product.
- **Not a medical reminder you should trust for medication.** It is a convenience logger. A timestamp next to a name you typed.

## Why the bottle is the point

A card lives in a wallet you are not holding at 7am. A hotel key is a different object than creatine. A bottle is the thing you just opened — kitchen stack or gym bag, same gesture. One tag per lid means you log the *specific* thing you took, not a shared box that stands in for the whole stack.

iPhone-only. No account. The log stays on the device. This website does not record doses.

If you are looking at Pulse (their NFC box): [LidTap vs Pulse](https://lidtap.app/pulse-alternative/). Pulse is a hardware organizer. LidTap is a sticker on the lid you already have.
